THE ESTABLISHMENT PROJECT

The school project is the set of pedagogical choices and specific concrete actions that the educational team implements in collaboration with the various actors and partners of the school, to carry out educational and pedagogical projects.  

 

The school project is dynamic and evolves over time.

 

The 2020 - 2024 school project of the Dr Cécile Mboyo College will be broken down according to the 4 main axes of the educational project:

AXIS 1: AWAKENING TO THE PRIDE OF ORIGINS

Introduction to the languages spoken in the DRC (Lingala, Tshiluba, Kikongo, Swahili,…) through books, songs, stories, recitations, musical awakening and traditional dances; the study of characters of Congolese / African origin or descent  having marked history,… will be organized.

Awareness sessions for parents will also be organized.

 
 
AXIS 2: LEARNING TO LEARN


Give children a taste for reading from an early age in order to arouse their curiosity, their thirst for learning on their own, their critical thinking and their personal reflection.

The CHEIKH ANTA DIOP library will undoubtedly help achieve this goal. Reading workshops, signing sessions, etc. will be organized throughout  throughout the school year.

 

 
AXIS 3: AWAKENING TO PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT

The school encourages zero waste within its walls and maintaining the cleanliness of the premises and surroundings. A "gardening" area will be set up in the playground. Outings to discover green spaces and organic gardens, educational workshops in waste sorting and recycling, sustainable development, etc. will be organized.  

 

 
AXIS 4: AWAKENING TO CITIZENSHIP AND DEMOCRACY

Concretely, “student councils” will be organized during which the students will be encouraged to talk about the problems encountered on the school premises, to listen to others and to find solutions together, to issue instructions and rules that 'it will be necessary to respect and apply any sanctions. Children will be educated about their rights but also about their duties.

The follow-up of local, national and international news will be programmed in order to teach the pupils to analyze and synthesize them .
