The emphasis is on developing in children the knowledge of themselves and their Congolese and African identity through the historical study of the past of the Congo and Africa, often unrecognized or distorted, of its literature and its geography. . This in order to better understand the future and to help the child to be proud of his origins and to have self-esteem, essential for his present and future development.

The goal is for the pupils to be aware of their African identity, of the value of their ancestral cultural heritage and of the contribution of Africans to civilization, particularly on the scientific level.
